You can’t spell crisis without spelling.

OMG I am on the verge of spiralling into a Tuesday afternoon existential crisis, because I just realised that when you type then delete a single letter on a computer, that letter is gone forever. And it’s not even Tuesday, it’s Monday. The single existence of that letter at that time only came to be because it was typed, and even if you retype the same letter, it’s a different letter because it’s not the same one that existed before. And the sheer existence of these letters that come and go, like tiny little universes, within split seconds upon our screens, hold onto their dear, short lives among the most unconsidered subjects of reality because as soon as they appear, we immediately delete them back to the realms of ciao.

I have ruthlessly slaughtered at least 30 letters in typing this alone.

I wonder if there is a special place, some alphabet soup purgatory, for lost letter souls, those wee deleted ds and fs and es, to take solace in numbers as they confront the crushing reality of their meaninglessness?
